Positioned in the heart of England’s North West region, Greater Manchester comprises ten boroughs including the City of Manchester. Salford Council’s Greengate Regeneration scheme is one major project underway in Greater Manchester. The Greengate sits on the Salford – Manchester border, and is the medieval centre of the old city of Salford.
The private sector has invested £110 million thus far to create 800 new residential units. To compliment this the council spent £13.3 million on a public Greengate Square refurbishment to help transform the area.
Manchester City Council has outlined an ambitious strategy to build at least 25,000 new homes over the next 10 years, to meet the city’s high growth rate. The Residential Growth Strategy is a new scheme that will help increase building on new and existing sites while improving the city’s housing quality.
The strategy aims to work with Manchester Place and developers to include homes for first time buyers, while creating neighbourhoods that will keep growing families in the city.

Salford is one area that’s being heavily developed with new homes due to schemes like those mentioned above. Bridgewater Point is one desirable development offering both apartments and townhouses. It will offer a roof terrace, onsite gymnasium, and underground parking.
X1 Property Developments specialises in luxury apartment buildings, with their crown jewel being their residential towers in Media City.
Manchester’s Media City is home to BBC and ITV, making it an ideal location for this development which will include 1100 apartments, a gym, and a cinema.
New Islington is another hotspot within Manchester for development. While many new builds are apartments, there are also houses available.
